State forest inventory shall have the following purposes: (a) timely identification and forecast of processes having negative impact on forests; (b) evaluation of the efficiency of forest conservation, protection and reproduction arrangements; and (c) information support of forest management. The following arrangements shall be applied for carrying out state forest inventory: (a) distant forest monitoring; (b) evaluation of forest conservation, protection and reproduction arrangements; (c) formation of federal information resources; and (d) specification of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of forests.
