This Order enters into force immediately.
Resumen

This Participatory Strategy for Water and Sanitation of Sao Tomé e Príncipe, which was developed up to 2030 in the framework of the project "Strategy, Coordination and Programming on Water and Sanitation Sector in Sao Tomé e Príncipe", is co-financed by the Government of Sao Tomé e Príncipe and the European Commission. This Strategy, consisting of six Sections, establishes the steps to be taken and the requirements to be met in order to perform the above mentioned activities, which implementation will be monitored and supervised by the competent institution of the General Direction of Natural Resources and Energy. The Participatory Strategy will last until 2030 and will be reviewed each six months. The Participatory Strategy final goal is that by 2030, the population of Sao Tome and Principe has access to safe water and adequate sanitation, and benefits from a well-integrated management of resources and systems that ensure the health and sustainable development of the country ensuring equity and equality between women and men in integrated water resources management. The integrated management of water resources is a key-approach to ensure the maintenance of quality of resources and making them available for all services for which water is essential, since the public supply, agriculture, industry, tourism, leisure, and the environment.
