The Regulation establishes: (a) basic principles and criteria of subdivision of hydrographic units into hydroeconomic plots; (b) the modalities of determination and description of the boundaries of hydroeconomic plots; (c) rules of coding (numbering) of hydroeconomic plots; and (d) list and contents of the documents required for the establishment of hydroeconomic plots and the boundaries thereof. Hydroeconomic plots shall be minimum parts of the river basins used for drawing water balance (with a view of sufficient and inexhaustible water uses, and conservation of waterbodies) for the establishment of water abstraction and effluent waste water discharge limits, and also other terms and conditions of water management.
