Where any action is brought in Malta pursuant to the Liability Convention, the competent authority shall be the Civil Court, First Hall (sect. 4). If pollution damage resulting from an incident has been sustained in Malta (including the territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone of malta), action for compensation shall be brought before the Civil Court, according to the Code of Organization and Civil Procedure.
