Resumen This Norm recognizes as endangered or threatened species of over-exploitation, aquatic invertebrates and fish listed in the Annexes. The species considered to be threatened with extinction listed in Annex I are prohibited from being captured, except for scientific purposes, with the special authorization of the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA). For species considered to be endangered as listed in Annex I, recovery plans shall be developed and shall be developed and implemented under the coordination of IBAMA, with the participation of state agencies, the scientific community and of organized civil society, within a maximum period of five years, from the publication of this Norm. For threatened species of over-exploitation listed in Annex II, management plans should be developed under the coordination of IBAMA, with the participation of state agencies, the scientific community and civil society organized, within a maximum period of five years, from the publication of this Norm.
