Resumen

These Regulations, made by the Minister responsible for internal affairs under section 55 of the Non – Governmental Organisations Act, 2016, concern registration of non – Governmental Organisations with the National Bureau of Non-Governmental Organisations and supervision on non-Governmental Organisations, including Community Based Organisations. A person or group of persons intending to form a Community Based Organisation shall apply for registration to the District Non Governmental Monitoring Committee before operating in a district. The District Non-Governmental Monitoring Committee shall issue a certificate of registration and permit the ommunity Based Organisation. A self-regulatory body formed by two or more organisations, shall before carrying out its operations apply to register with the Bureau. Where the District Non- Governmental Organisations Monitoring Committee and the Local Government has approved an organisation to operate in a district, the Local Government shall sign a memorandum of understanding with the organisation to carry out its activities in the district. The Local Government and the Organisation may adopt the template of memorandum of understanding in Form V in the Schedule.
