Resumen

Residents who hold land in accordance with local customary law on land tenure shall, unless the authorized officer otherwise directs, cultivate and maintain an area of not less than one acre of specified cash crops (by-law 3). The District Council may give directions relating to the type of crop to be grown, use of manure or fertilizers, the removal of old plants, weeds or noxious plants and the conservation and use of land (by-law 4). Persons cultivating land under provisions of these by-laws are under obligation to control weeds and to report to the authorized officer on the existence of pests and diseases (by-law 5). Other provisions deal with proper cultivation, inspection and offences. (8 by-laws)
