A permit shall not be required for transit purpose only (reg. 4). The Chief Parks and Wildlife Officer or a Wildlife Officer may prohibit persons or vehicles from traveling on or in any part of a protected area of a road (reg. 5). Protected areas shall be entered into or left in places designated by the Chief Parks and Wildlife Officer or a Wildlife Officer (reg. 6). Regulation 6 contains also other restrictions on movement in protected areas. Regulations 7 to 15 provide for the prohibition or restriction of other specified activities in protected areas. The designated officers may issue orders, notices and direction for this purpose (reg. 15). The designated officers may prohibit persons, the presence of which in their opinion would be detrimental to the proper management and control of the area, from entering protected areas for a period not exceeding three years (reg. 16). The remaining provisions deal with fees. "Protected Area" means a park or wildlife reserve declared to be a national park or wildlife reserve under section 28 of the Act and includes any river bordering, or in, a park or wildlife reserve.
