This Resolution enters into force on 19 January 2002.
Resumen

This Resolution is composed of 12 articles. Article 1 provides for the establishment of the Animal Diseases Inquiry Unit under the Animal Health Division, with the following competencies: (a) proposing annual policies for the Unit; (b) inquiring into the spreading and diffusion of infectious diseases; (c) following the sanitary situation in the world; (d) expressing opinions and consulting the types of vaccination; (e) preparing studies and researches regarding the efficacy of vaccinations; (f) laying down programmes for immunization in the State; (g) publish information bulletins, and guiding animal breeders through disease spreading and prevention; (h) contacting Veterinary Authorities in case of diseases; and, (i) presenting periodic reports. Article 2 establishes the Veterinary Vaccinations and Medicines Unit under the Animal Health Division, with the following competencies: (a) cooperating with the Ministry of Public Health in vaccinations and medicines registration; (b) issuing licences for veterinary deposits, veterinary pharmacies, and practising the veterinary profession; (c) issuing licences for the importation of animal feed additives, vaccinations and medicines; (d) inspecting veterinary deposits; (e) preventing the importation of prohibited medicines and vaccinations; (f) publish information bulletins, and guiding animal breeders through the abuse of vaccinations and medicines; and, (g) presenting periodic reports. Articles 3-9 provide for the establishment, and for competencies and duties of the following executive units: the Veterinary Laboratories and Clinic Unit under the Animal Health Division; the Official Executives and Following Unit under the Veterinary Quarantine Division; the Equine Unit under the Veterinary Quarantine Division; the CITES Unit under the Veterinary Quarantine Division; the Training and Guidance Unit under the Animal Production Division; the Scientific Research and Study Unit under the Animal Production Division; the Statistic and Following Unit under the Animal Production Division.
