Resumen This Resolution, encompassing 38 articles, establishes that the slaughter of livestock and poultry for sale or consumption is permissible only in Authority-licensed slaughterhouses. Article 3 outlines the conditions for the slaughter of livestock, including a mandatory six-hour period in slaughterhouse pens with a visual examination (Article 5). Owners or authorities must report slaughtered or suspected animals, subjecting them to separate inspection, ensuring meat suitability, and promptly informing the veterinary authority (Article 9). The Resolution mandates adherence to approved health practices and hygiene in slaughter halls (Article 10) and prohibits unjustified cruelty during transportation and slaughter (Article 12). Neutering requires a health permit, scheduled appointments, and permits for doctors, inspectors, and specialists (Article 16). Sale-ready meat leaving slaughterhouses must be sealed (Article 24), transported in refrigerated vehicles complying with health standards (Article 26).
