Ministerial Joint Decree Νο. 1553/43506 laying down specific measures for agriculture in favour of the smaller Aegean islands, in implementation of Council Regulations (EC) No. 1405/2006 and 1914/2006.

Specific aid arrangements are hereby introduced for the agricultural products which are essential in the smaller islands for human consumption, for the manufacture of other products or as agricultural inputs. Aid shall be granted for the supply to the smaller islands of the products referred to in articles 2 to 12 (beans, Santorini tomato, Tinos artichoke, Chios mastiha, Lemnos barley, etc). The Decision establishes also the competent authorities for granting subsidies, the subsidy rate, the beneficiaries and the procedures for participating in the selection process.
