Ministerial Decree No. 437 validating Technical Regulation “On safety of sugar”.

The scope of this Technical Regulation shall be to ensure protection of human life and health, environment, and protection of consumers with a view of prevention of fraud and deceit related to quality and characteristics of sugar. This Technical Regulation establishes: (a) safety of technical equipment for processing of sugar; (b) traceability and identification of sugar; (c) assessment of compliance of sugar with the established standards; (d) requirements for the use of terminology, packaging and labelling, and also on the origin and consumer qualities of sugar; and (e) safety requirements for sacchariferous raw materials.
