This Regulations concern the establishment of fish breeding farms, sale, import and export of farmed fish and the necessary fees. A quarantine period is obligatory for the imported farmed fish to prevent water and environmental pollution. The fish breeding farms shall guarantee constant control and take samples from fish and water to ensure the absence of diseases. The Regulations set forth specific conditions for the imported farmed fish. The import of species not present in the Omani marine environment is forbidden, unless the responsible authority gives the applicant company a special permit. These Regulations gives also the conditions necessary to obtain the licences for fish farming.
