Ministerial Decree No. 303 establishing water protection conservation zones along the Zarafshan River in the provinces of Samarkand, Navoi and Buhara.

This Ministerial Decree designates 29789, 3 hectares of the Zarafshan River in the provinces of Samarkand, Navoi and Buhara as a water protection zone, and 3710. 2 hectares of the river as a water conservation zone, in accordance with Annex 1. Local executive bodies shall expropriate coastal land from landlords and tenants and transfer them to water management organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Management for coastal reinforcement, forest reclamation and other measures to protect against water pollution. The State Committee on Land Resources shall issue certificates of indefinite land tenancy to such water management organizations.
