Ministerial Decree No. 1442 validating the Regulation on the Committee on Nuclear Energy.

This Ministerial Decree designates the Committee on Nuclear Energy as the authorized state institution for the regulation and safe management of nuclear energy. The main tasks of the Committee shall be: (a) state regulation in the sphere of nuclear energy management; (b) registration and supervision over nuclear materials and sources of ionizing radiation; (c) import and export of materials and services in the area of nuclear energy management; and (d) state supervision over radiation safety. The Committee shall carry out the following functions: (a) implementation of state policy in the sphere of safe management of nuclear energy; (b) supervision over the export and import of nuclear and radioactive materials; (c) annual reporting on the state of nuclear safety; (d) registration of nuclear materials; and (e) research.
