Ministerial Decree No. 1108 validating the Regulation on the Committee on Nuclear Energy.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that the Committee on Nuclear Energy shall be the authorized state institution carrying out special executive and supervision functions, and also guidance with a view of ensuring safe management of nuclear energy. The Committee shall carry out the following tasks: (a) implementation of state policy in the sphere of safe management of nuclear energy, including prevention of hazardous environmental impact of ionizing radiation; (b) state registration and supervision over nuclear materials and ionizing radiation; (c) research; and (d) import and export of nuclear materials and radioactive substances.
