Resumen

This Ministerial Decision is composed of 7 articles. The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries is to collect veterinary and health quarantine fees from imports, exports, owners of livestock, birds and fish. This is to protect livestock resources and to ensure the security of imports and exports (art. 1). Article 2 lists those fees in units of Riyal and Beisa, divided into categories such as Live Animals and Different Animal Products (such as milk, butter, wool, hair, horns, etc). All animals, birds, meat, and animal products imported and exported by government agencies are exempt from quarantine fees (art. 3). The values of fees for any shipment must not be less than one Omani Riyal (art. 4). In circumstances where fees are collected according to weight, fractions of a ton will be charged as a full ton (art. 5).
