Resumen

These Regulations, made under the Public Health Act, concerns the inspection of meat and meat processing facilities and operations for the purpose of ensuring food safety and protecting human health. The Regulations cover the requirements for the sale of meat and of wildlife meat, planning and constructing abattoirs and meat processing plants, define requirements for processing meat and for related record keeping, define the powers of inspectors and provide also for ante-mortem inspections. The Regulations deal with diseases and conditions that can be found in animals and prescribe required treatment and disposal.
