Resumen

These Rules, consisting of 29 articles divided into seven Chapters and 31 Forms, regulate the granting of permit for hunting of wild animals. In furtherance to the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and the Wildlife (Protection) (Maharashtra) Rules, 1975, these Rules contain additional provisions on the establishment of the State Board for Wildlife, hunting of wild animals, protection of specific plants, sanctuaries, national parks, trading and commerce of wild animal products and taxidermy. Conditions of permit for hunting wild animals. The Rules establish that every person holding permit for special purpose shall submit a report of his collection (including to pick, uproot, acquire or collect or transport any specified plant) as may be required by the Chief Wildlife Warden and send a copy of such report, each to the Chief Conservator of Forests and Deputy Conservator of Forests of the area in which the hunting is done. The permit holder shall, whenever required by the Chief Wildlife Warden or any other officer authorized by him in that behalf, produce for inspection the entire collection made by him. The permit holder shall not hunt outside the State of Maharashtra, without the written permission from the Chief Wildlife Warden or any authorized officer. The Forms specify requirements to be satisfied in order to benefit from such authorizations.
