Local Government Act (Cap. 116).

This Act provides with respect to local government in the Seychelles and divides the Seychelles into districts. The names and boundaries of the districts are specified in Schedule 1. Districts shall be governed by district councils. A council shall have such functions as may be determined from time to time by the President. Subject to this Act and any other written law, a council shall be under the general supervision of the Minister.
