It is divided up into 8 parts and 1 schedule as follows: 1 Short title; 2 Interpretation; 3 Use of brand; 4 Transfer of brand; 5 Effect of forfeiture of brand; 6 Forms and regulations; 7 Pure-bred brand; 8 Summary Proceedings Act and schedule tariff of fees. No person shall brand any livestock except with an allotted brand pursuant to this Act. Any brand allotted is only valid for a period of five years. Transfer of the right to use the brand is possible and the allotment, renewal or transfer of every brand must be recorded.
