Resumen

The law ratifies the Convention on wetlands of international importance especially as waterfowl habitat, commonly known as the Ramsar Convention. The Ramsar convention (1971, Iran), is the first action on an international level that concerns directly and exclusively wetlands of international interest, their protection and their management. The convention provides for the delimitation of sites, planning and application of measures aiming at the protection and preservation of wetlands with a particular emphasis on the protection of aquatic fauna. The law, consisting of two articles (ratification and entry into force), adopts all its provisions and the Annexes connected thereto.
