It consists of 15 articles: Scope of application of the Law (1); Main purpose and objectives of the Law (2); Categories of Javakheti protected areas (3); Location, surface area and boundaries of Javakheti National Park (4); Location, surface area and boundaries of Kartsakhi Managed Reserve (5); Location, surface area and boundaries of Sulda Managed Reserve (6); Location, surface area and boundaries of Khanchali Managed Reserve (7); Location, surface area and boundaries of Bugdasheni Managed Reserve (8); Location, surface area and boundaries of Madatapa Managed Reserve (9); Multi-purpose area (supporting zone) of Javakheti (9(1)); Protection and use regime of Javakheti protected areas (10); Management of Javakheti protected areas (11); Property rights, and activities involving use of minerals and other natural resources on Javakheti protected areas (12); Transitional provisions (13); and Final provisions (14). The objectives of the Law include protection, restoration and maintenance of biodiversity, natural ecosystems, landscapes, biotypes and its specific components, and wild fauna and flora; protection and restoration of wetlands and habitats especially ones that are useful for waterfowl; protection, restoration and rational use of water, soil and other natural resources, creating favorable conditions for ecological education and scientific research, protection and maintenance of historical and cultural heritage, protection and monitoring of natural biological regimes of water objects (lakes) of volcanic origin; and supporting sustainable growth of recreation, tourism and agriculture.
