This Law enters into force on the day of its publication.
Resumen

This Law, composed of 56 articles divided into six Chapters, creates the State System of Conservation Units (SISEUC). SISEUC has the following objectives: contribute to the maintenance of biodiversity and genetic resources in the state territory and in jurisdictional waters; preserve and/or restore natural ecosystems; protect endemic, rare and endangered species at the national and state levels; contribute to the preservation and restoration of the biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest, its associated ecosystems and marine environments; promote sustainable development from the conservation of natural resources; protect natural heritage; protect relevant geological, geo-morphological, speleological, archaeological, paleontological, historical and cultural characteristics; protect and recover water resources; recover degraded ecosystems; provide means and incentives for scientific research and environmental monitoring; value biodiversity; promote education and environmental interpretation, recreation in contact with nature and ecotourism; protect the natural resources necessary for the subsistence of traditional communities, respecting and valuing their knowledge and culture.
