Law No. 7.404 establishing the District Policy on Green Hydrogen.

This Law establishes the District Policy with the following specific objectives: encourage the use of green hydrogen in its various applications and, in particular, as an energy source and production of agricultural fertilizers; contribute to reducing the emission of greenhouse gases and, therefore, to combating climate change; stimulate, support and promote the green hydrogen production chain; encourage the establishment of rules and incentives aimed at developing the green hydrogen production chain; stimulate and increase the participation of the use of green hydrogen in the energy matrix; provide synergy between renewable energy generation sources; stimulate technological development aimed at the production and application of green hydrogen, oriented towards rational use and protection of natural resources; stimulate the attraction of investments; develop training on productive, commercial and service sectors related to hydrogen-based energy systems; encourage the promotion of policies and incentives aimed to facilitate the development of the green hydrogen chain and its derivatives; encourage the decarbonization of the transport sector.
