Resumen

Protected areas in the city of Moscow make up the basis of environmental complex and are the objects of environmental and historical and cultural heritage of the capital. This Law regulates the relationship in the sphere of setting up, protection, maintenance, utilisation and abolition of protected areas in Moscow for the purpose of preservation and restoration of environmental and territorial complexes, their natural habitats and objectives, landscape and biodiversity, improvement of environment and of life quality of the city population. The document consists of 5 Chapters that contain 35 articles. Chapter 1 lays down the general provisions (arts. 1-18). Chapter 2 regards the particulars of the legal status of some categories of protected areas (arts. 19-29). Chapter 3 deals with protection and utilisation of protected areas in Moscow and state control over their state (arts. 30-33). Chapter 4 establishes the liability for the infringement of the regime of protection and utilisation of protected areas in Moscow (art. 34). Chapter 5 lays down the conclusive provisions (art. 35).
