Resumen This Law establishes the State Policy to Encourage the Generation and Use of Solar Energy within the State of Amazonas. The objectives of the State Policy are: stimulate investments for ecologically correct solar energy systems, including technological development and the production of photovoltaic and photothermal solar energy for self consumption in private and public enterprises; create employment and income alternatives; improve energy efficiency and reduce costs; mitigate negative impacts on the environment; universalize the public energy service; encourage the use of cleaner technologies; stimulate the use of renewable energy sources; encourage the production of equipment and components for the generation of solar energy in the State of Amazonas; foster training programmes to work at all stages of the production chain; stimulate the creation of companies providing service for solar panels; foster research and development programmes in state institutions to ensure photovoltaic solar energy technology; diversify the Amazonian energy matrix; reliability and security of supply.
