Resumen This Law establishes the State Policy on Payment for Environmental Services in Ceará, with the aim of promoting, encouraging and fostering the preservation, conservation, maintenance and increase of environmental services in the State of Ceará. The objectives of the State Policy are: to promote the maintenance, provision of environmental goods and services, the generation of environmental assets and, consequently, the protection and conservation of environmental services; establish and promote economic-financial instruments capable of contributing to the conservation and protection of environmental services; value the environmental goods and services of the State's biomes, in addition to helping to strengthen agents, public or private, involved in promoting sustainable development in the State of Ceará; cooperate in the development of joint programmes; encourage the development of methodologies on environmental services; promote ecological corridors, protected areas and other environmentally conserved areas, observing the guidelines indicated by the competent body; establish management, implementation and monitoring mechanisms for actions; contribute to reducing poverty, social inclusion and improving the living conditions of people living in areas where environmental services are provided; recognize and value family farming, indigenous peoples and traditional communities and their knowledge regarding their role in maintaining environmental services, natural resources and cultural heritage; etc. Texto completo Portugués Página web belt.al.ce.gov.br
