Materia Tierra y suelos Palabra clave Propiedad de extranjeros Tenencia de tierras Autorización/permiso Sucesión Negocios/industria/corporaciones Propiedad Área geográphica Americas, Islas del Océano Atlántico, América Latina y el Caribe, América del Sur, Atlántico Sur Resumen For the purposes of this Ordinance, an individual shall be regarded as being resident in the Falkland Islands if under the provisions of section 22(5) of the Constitution he is to be regarded as belonging to the Falkland Islands; and he is ordinarily resident in the Falkland Islands; or if he has under the provisions of the Immigration Ordinance 1987 been granted a permanent residence permit and he is ordinarily resident in the Falkland Islands. For the purposes of this Ordinance, a body corporate is to be regarded as being resident in the Falkland Islands if it is a statutory corporation created or continued under any Ordinance of the Falkland Islands; if it is a company incorporated in the Falkland Islands and at least seventy-five per cent of its share capital carrying voting rights at general meetings of the company are beneficially owned by individuals who are to be regarded as being resident in the Falkland Islands. Certain companies doing business in the Falkland Islands and meet specific requirements under section 3 are treated as resident. Under the Ordinance "land" includes land wholly or partly covered by water and includes any building or structure forming part of any land and any interest in land; "interest in land" includes a mortgage, charge or debenture affecting land, any right to occupy land and any equitable interest in land.
