Resumen

These Instructions consisting of 13 articles and 2 Annexes aim at regulating the management of the environmentally significant and geographically bounded areas not included by the national network of national reserves. Article 4 specifies the criteria for selecting the aforementioned areas. Article 5 deals with the applications for declaration of a special protection area. Article 6 provides for the establishment of a National Technical Committee for the areas with special protection with the following main tasks: studying the applications, declaration/cancellation of an area as a special protection zone. Article 8 specifies tasks and competencies of the Administrative Authority that primarily include planning, regular reporting, sustainable development and financial issues. The Ministry of Environment shall supervise these areas. Annex 1 contains the table of land use cases within the areas with special protection that should be filled by the applicant. Annex 2 lists the main aspects to consider in order to declare the area as an area with special protection.
