Guam Agricultural Expense Insurance – Chapter 56 of 12 GCA – Autonomous Agencies.

This Chapter grants powers to the Guam Economic Development Authority additional to the general powers and authorized activities as enumerated in Chapter 50 of this Division, the Guam Economic Development Authority and provides for the establishment of the Farmers Assistance Revolving Fund. The powers of the Guam Economic Development Authority concern insurance for farmers and aquaculture operators against damages caused by natural catastrophes including pests and diseases affecting livestock, fish farming or cultivation of plants. The Revolving Fund shall be administered by the Guam Economic Development Authority Board of Directors. The Authority shall give preferential treatment to loans submitted regarding agriculture and aquaculture development, and shall encourage the development of agriculture and aquaculture.
