The Grain Commission is established under section 3 as a body corporate. The Commission shall consist of government officers ex-officio and appointed by the Minister responsible for agriculture and six grain growers who are members of the Grain Growers Association established as a body corporate under section 14 of this Act. The Commission shall have its own fund. It shall advise the Minister, the Association, the Marketing Board established under the Marketing Board Ordinance and Grain Processing Units (rice, flour and feed mills and silos) on all matters regarding the grain industry, acts as an arbitrator in disputes between buyers and producers and/or other parties and carry out other functions outlined in section 7. The objects of the Association shall be to promote the interests of and understanding among its members, to promote the grain industry and the use of grain in general, to encourage better production, better quality seed, etc. to encourage use of grain as feed, to provide for training and to carry out other tasks listed in section 15. A Committee of Management shall manage the Association. Functions of the Committee are outlined in section 19. The Association shall have its own fund.
