Resumen

This Governmental Decree shall be applicable to all produced (manufactured) and imported types of fish and fish products, with codes in accordance with commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity of the Customs Union, specified in the Annex to this Technical Regulation. It establishes safety requirements for fish products used for human consumption, including aquaculture products, production processes, packaging, labelling and circulation (trade) of fish and fish products. Identification of fish and fish products shall be performed by visual examination for availability of identification features. Internal trade and vending of fish and fish products shall be authorized exclusively in case of compliance with the provisions of this Technical Regulation, veterinary-sanitary and sanitary-hygienic requirements and availability of safety and traceability certification. Microbiological and parasitological contamination of fish and fish products and the content of chemical pollutants, toxic elements, pesticides, radionuclides, other harmful substances and their residues, food additives and products of genetic engineering shall not exceed the levels established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of public health and veterinary medicine. Live fish as a food product should be obtained from the natural environment immediately before vending or traded after it has been withdrawn from the natural environment for a period shorter than the time after which stops its vital activity. Live fish considered fish product must undergo a period of biological treatment before being sent into circulation to eliminate the presence of feedstuffs in the stomach and intestines. Fish containing in some parts hazardous substances for human health should be butchered with the removal and subsequent disposal of the hazardous parts. Fish and fish products when delivered to trading facilities for vending should not contain helminthes and their larvae hazardous to human health. Fish of the Canthigasteridae, Diodontidae, Molidae and Tetraodontidae families may not be used as raw materials for fish products.
