It shall not be applicable to species regulated by CITES Convention. Export of wild animals from the territory of the Republic of Armenia and import into the territory of the Republic of Armenia is carried out on the basis of a permit issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Armenia. In order to obtain a permit to export wild animals from the territory of the Republic of Armenia and to import them into the territory of the Republic of Armenia, natural and legal persons submit an application to the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia according to the form contained in the Annex No. 2. Attached to the application must be submitted: (a) in case of export, the document (copy) confirming the acquisition (capture, hunting, procurement, purchase, etc.) of the exported wild animal; and (b) in case of import, the consent or permit (copy) of the exporting country for the export of the animal of the given place or the documents replacing them (customs declaration, documents accompanying the goods sealed or certified in another form by the customs authority of the exporting country), if the relevant procedure is defined by the legislation of that country. The application is rejected if: (a) the documents mentioned in item 4 of this order are missing, or the information provided in them does not correspond to reality; (b) rare and endangered wild animals registered in the red books of exporting or importing countries and international red books are mentioned in the application, regarding which a negative conclusion is given in accordance with clause 7 of this order; and (c) in other cases defined by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
