Section 2 establishes that the Glenbow-Alberta Institute” is continued with the objects, duties and powers set out in this Act. In particular, the objects of the Institute are to promote and encourage the acquisition and diffusion of knowledge of the human race, its arts, its history and the nature of the world in which it lives, in the manner that best serves the educational and cultural needs of the peoples of Alberta and, in particular, but without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Institute may in furtherance of its objects: a) collect and preserve specimens of nature, art works, documents and human objects, and record, publish and make available information related to them; undertake and support research and education related to the general objects of the Institute.
