It consists of 43 sections and is divided into four Parts. The moratorium on the cultivation of certain GM food plants must be decided by the Government and published in the Gazette. Section 13 establishes the New South Wales Agricultural Advisory Council on Gene Technology as an advisory body for the Government on matters related to gene technology.
