Resumen

This Regulation enacts provisions with regards to the use and maintenance of forest recreational sites. It is divided up into 6 parts as follows: Part 1 - Definitions; Part 2 - Public Recreation Orders on Crown Land; Part 3 - Unauthorized Trail or Recreation Facility Construction; Part 4 - Use of Recreation Sites, Recreation Trails, Interpretive Forest Sites and Wilderness Areas; Part 5 - Fees and Part 6 - Enforcement. Section 105 (1) of the Forest Practices Code of British Columbia Act states that "if the district manager determines that it is necessary to protect a recreation resource or manage public recreation use on Crown land, he or she may, by written order, restrict, prohibit or attach any relevant condition to a recreation use on Crown land. However before doing so part 2 of this Regulation prescribes that a public notice of the recreation order must be published. Part 3 enacts rules with regards to consent under section 102 (1) Act, which provides for a person to obtain the consent of the district manager before constructing, rehabilitating or maintaining a trail or other recreation facility on Crown land. Part 4 sets out restrictions on activities in Recreation Sites, Recreation Trails, Interpretive Forest Sites and Wilderness Areas, dealing with matters such as: the operation of vehicles and equipment; disposal of refuse; quiet and peaceful enjoyment; traps and firearms and limitations on occupancy and use. The prescribed camping fees are set out under part 5 together with rules regulating camping passes and camping permits. Finally part 6 deals with orders to vacate a recreation site, recreation trail, interpretive forest site or wilderness area and offences.
