The Lieutenant Governor in Council may enter into agreements with Canada, a Province or a person for the protection of forests from fire (sect. 3). Section 16 establishes when a fire starts from any cause on forest land, the owner or operator shall take immediate action to combat the fire and shall inform the nearest conservation officer or forest service officer without delay.
