Resumen

This Act consolidates the laws relating to food and establishes the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India which shall be responsible for making the rules related to food safety and for implementing the provisions of this Act. The Act lays down the provisions on the permitted amount of residues of veterinary drugs and pesticides on food articles and mentions that no food article shall contain any food additives or processing aid unless it is in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
