Resumen

This Order provides for the applicable laws, rules and regulations to be the legal basis of strengthening fisheries resource protection and law enforcement including the Philippine Constitution.The Order provides for the operating instructions, appointment of the Director of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-General Office as the over-all Chief of Fishery Law Enforcement, coordinating offices, planed operations, rational and regional law enforcement, coordination of other executive agencies and complementation of assets, facilities and equipments. The core functions and fishery law enforcement core responsibilities are listed in Parts E and F of this Order. The Order further provides for support to operators, standard guidelines/rules for engagement on law enforcement and capacity building programs to be conducted to develop and revitalise capacities of the fishery law enforcement officers. The Order contains one attachment regarding the framework for developing capacities of the fisheries law enforcement unit, such as on identification of CITES and other prohibited species.
