These Regulations govern commercial and recreational fishing for HMS in the U.S. EEZ off the coasts of Washington, Oregon, and California and in adjacent high seas waters. They concern, among other things, reporting and recordkeeping requirements, various prohibitions, exempted fishing, Pacific Coast Treaty Indian Rights, vessel identification, sharks gear and season restrictions, vessel monitoring, recreational fishing bag limits, interim protection for sea turtles, limited entry permits and other fishing authorizations, catch restrictions, landing.
