Entry into force notes
Parts 1 and 2 of this Act come into force on the day after the date on which it receives the Royal assent. may be made bringing different provisions into force on different dates. (2) The rest of this Act comes into force on a date appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and 1 or more orders. (3) Any provision that has not earlier been brought into force comes into force on 1 December 2012.
Resumen

This Act, consisting of 4 Parts and five Schedules, provides for composition, duties and responsibilities of the Environmental Protection Authority. The objective of the EPA is to undertake its functions in a way that: (a) contributes to the efficient, effective, and transparent management of New Zealand’s environment and natural and physical resources; and (b) enables New Zealand to meet its international obligations.
