Resumen This Law aims for reducing peak-time electricity consumption in order to reduce electricity prices and minimize the use of fossil fuels. This Federal Law regulates the implementation of Articles 4 and 5 of Council Regulation (EU) 2022/1854 of October 6, 2022 on emergency measures. The Law defines the methods for nomination of the peak times while requires for reduction of electricity use in peak times by an average of at least 5%. The Law specifies the measures to be taken for reduction of electricity use including increasing public awareness, optimization of user behaviours such as increasing use of more efficient devices and early replacement of old devices, and having energy saving contracts. The Law further lays out provisions for holding tenders for electricity consumption reductions and provides regulations for its participation, procedures and award contracts. The Law further elaborates on allocation of fund for coverage of costs, monitoring and implementation. The Law consists of 23 Articles divided into 6 Parts.
