Resumen

This Decree of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, based on section 6 of the Animal Feed Act, provides with respect to maximum levels of harmful substances, products and organisms in animal feed. Feed manufactured, placed on the market in Finland, used for animal feeding, imported or exported may not contain levels of harmful substances, products or organism higher than those set out in Schedules 1 and 2 to this Decree. The Decree sets out measures that shall be taken when higher levels of harmful substances are ascertained. Persons who hold a batch of feed that does not comply with prescribed levels shall notify the Finnish Food Safety Authority and collaborate with the Authority to clarify the circumstances that led to non-compliance and take measures as prescribed by the Authority.
