The consolidated version of the Decree entered into force on 10 September 2014.

Resumen

The water authority (National Water Directorate and its territorial branches under the supervision of the Minister) performs duties of the State related to water. The notary performs duties of the local government. Chapter II deals with the terms of applying and granting of water rights (with regard to construction of water works, water use, running of water works), servitude. In the same Chapter, there are rules regarding the protection of watercourses, sanctions for persons not bearing regular permit, indemnities for damages caused by the authorities, control of legality, and the keeping of waterworks register. Chapter III specifies duties of the local government.
