Resumen

This Decree establishes requirements for prophylaxis of trichinellosis of swine. Prophylaxis of trichinellosis of swine shall be planned and shall include the following arrangements: (a) diagnostics at meat-processing enterprises and at markets in the course of veterinary and sanitary expertise; (b) identification and registration of ill animals; (c) sanitary and educational activity among the population; (d) prohibition of domestic (illegal) slaughtering; and (e) veterinary authorization for domestic slaughtering with prior to slaughtering and post-slaughtering examination of animals. Meat of wild boars shall be authorized for human consumption after laboratory testing for the presence of larva of Trichinella. The population shall be prohibited to sell meat and meat-based products in unauthorized places and without veterinary certificate.
