Decree No. 286 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating normative legal acts in the sphere of environmental audit.

This Decree establishes the modalities of performance of departmental environmental audit, industrial environmental audit and audit performed by in-house environmental auditing service. Departmental environmental audit shall be mandatory for public bodies and economic entities (businesses) operating in the sphere of nature management, waste management and waste disposal. The outcome of departmental environmental audit shall be legalized in the form of report. Industrial environmental audit shall be performed by staff of an enterprise in accordance with their duties and service instructions. In-house environmental auditing service shall be a structural unit of state bodies and economic entities or officials responsible for ensuring environmental protection and rational nature management within the structure of state bodies or economic entities (businesses).
