Resumen This Decree, consisting of 54 articles divided into eight Chapters, creates the State Council for Fisheries and Aquaculture (CONEPA), linked to the State Secretariat of Rural Production (SEPROR), with the purpose of proposing the formulation of policies with a view to promoting articulation between the different levels of government and civil society for the development and promotion of fisheries and aquaculture activities in the State of Amazonas. CONEPA is responsible for formulating and implementing public policies, within the competence of the State Secretariat of Rural Production (SEPROR), to meet, among others: a) the development of fishing and of aquaculture; b) activities in support of the production and marketing of fishing and aquaculture development; c) regulate public waters for the exploitation of aquaculture, as well as create parks and their respective aquaculture areas; d) standardize measures that allow the sustainable use of migratory fishery resources and of those that are under-exploited; e) maintain rational programmes of aquaculture exploitation in public and private waters; f) implement measures and actions established in the strategic plan approved by the State Conference on Fisheries and Aquaculture; g) propose monitoring and evaluation strategies as well as participate in the deliberative process of policy guidelines and procedures related to the development and promotion of fisheries and aquaculture activities, etc. Texto completo Portugués Página web diario.imprensaoficial.am.gov.br
