Decree No. 2275 of 2009 regulating units of the Ministry of Environment and defining their functions and terms of appointment.

This Decree is composed of 3 Chapters divided into 35 articles and 2 Annexes. Chapter I gives terms and definitions. Chapter II defines functions of the following departments and offices of the Ministry of Environment: General Department of Environment; Regional Departments; Central Administration; Department of Legal Affairs; Department of Function, Finance and Supplies; Department of Administration Affairs and Documentation; Division of Functional Affairs; Division of Finance Affairs; Department of Foreign Affairs and Public Relations; Department of Environmental Guidance; Department of Awareness and Guidance ; Department of Private Sector; Department of Environmental Information; Department of Residential Environment; Department of Natural Resources; department of Environment Technology; Department of Planning and Programming; Department of Regional Offices and Environmental Guard; Department of Residential Environment Protection; Ecosystem Department; Department of Chemical Safety; Air Quality Office; Department of Integrated Environmental Systems; Department of Environmental Policies; and, Department of Monitoring and Environmental Statistics.
