Decree No. 2002-8 of the State Tax Committee validating the Regulation on the calculation and payment of water charges.

This Decree establishes the modalities for the calculation and payment water resource usage charges, which shall be paid by legal persons, dehkan farms and individual entrepreneurs. Legal persons shall pay the charges set for the place of actual water use, irrespective of their place of registration, and where they supply water to residential areas, shall only pay charges for the amount of water used for their own purposes. Use of water from surface waterbodies and groundwater shall be charged. Non-commercial organizations shall be exempt from water charges. Except for dehkan farms, water charges shall be calculated at a fixed rate according to the actual amount of water abstracted. Water charges for dehkan farms shall be calculated according to the actual amount of water used to irrigate one hectare of land.
